Dear Traveler,
Welcome to where Gypsy Fires becomes practical teachings designed for you to better embody your values and determine your destiny in an unstable world. I call this part of my world I open beyond my kumpanija, to teach and to help make a better world, Timedancing. This is the lab, and here is its first course.
I call the part of my world I open beyond my kumpanija — to teach, and to help you make a better world — Timedancing. This is the lab, and here is its first course.
Choreonavigating Crisis is a six-part course on movement in times of collapse. It’s built from my family’s Bashaldo Gypsy tradition, my doctoral research on impact-driven dance and the navigation that carried me through multiple displacements—including losing my life in the United States and rebuilding it in Spain.
It begins from one claim: regulation without navigation is an open window in a storm. If you’re an embodied practitioner and you’re burning out, I don’t think it’s because you’re doing your training wrong. I think it’s because your training is incomplete and built for a safer world than this one.
Tomorrow morning I publish the full argument. Six self-paced lessons here in the Lab, with optional live online sessions Tuesday evenings starting June 30th at 8pm Spanish Time / 7pm Irish / 2pm Eastern / 11am Pacific.
Paid subscribers get the whole self-paced course as part of their subscription as well as first access today to one of the 12 founding seats for the live sessions. Subscribe now ($6/month or $55/year) and your enrollment link arrives in your inbox tonight. Everyone else gets the public link tomorrow morning with the full essay.
See you at the fire tomorrow.
Lacho drom,
Russell
